“I don’t want life to imitate art.
I want life to be art.”
— Carrie Fisher
Giving Back
Driving Change
In 2017, a group of colleagues from across the company came together with one shared goal: to make our workplace better for everyone. We imagined a space where every person feels valued, respected, and supported, and we set out to help create it.
With a spirit of optimism and teamwork, we launched initiatives that celebrated and uplifted our community, including:
International Women’s Day, Black History Month and Pride programming
Education and speaker series focused on meaningful issues and communities important to our teams
Community outreach projects and health-focused programs
As Chair of Driving Change, which included several dedicated committees, I had the privilege of helping guide this passionate and purpose-driven group. Driving Change became the heart of Publicis, giving us meaningful opportunities to support and give back to the people who make our workplace so special.
Fine Arts
Painting & ceramics
Fine arts have always been part of my DNA. I started drawing when I was young, which opened the door to all kinds of creative rabbit holes, most of them involving paint under my nails and a very messy desk.
Painting quickly became my happy place. I’ve always loved nature, so translating the beauty around me onto a canvas feels a bit like bringing tiny pieces of the world home.
More recently, I fell headfirst into pottery and ceramics. I’ve taken several classes to learn how to create functional pieces, although I’ll admit my first few bowls were more “abstract concepts” than actual bowls. I also have a small hand-sculpting setup at home where I make playful pieces that bring me joy and often become gifts for friends and family. Nothing says “I care about you” like a slightly wonky but very heartfelt ceramic creature.
Nature
Touching grass
I’ve always been an unabashed nature lover and adventure-seeker. Give me a trail, a backpack, and the promise of a good view, and I’m already lacing up my boots. Getting outside is my favorite way to clear my mind, reset my creativity, and remember that the world is a lot bigger than my to-do list. I’ve hiked mountains in different corners of the world, each one offering a new perspective and usually at least one moment where I wonder why I didn’t choose a hobby that requires less uphill.
I’m also a dedicated gardener, which is really just another outlet for creativity, patience, and mild obsession. I love designing a garden that’s both beautiful and functional, and I get an unreasonable amount of joy from propagating new plants. There’s something magical about coaxing new life from a cutting, even if half my windowsills now look like a botanical science experiment in progress.
